We have been in your shoes
Joining Alex, Lukas and Pascal on their journey in launching Wingman Ventures back in 2019, I lead all topics finance, both for the fund, but most importantly in support of the founders we team up with. Helping entrepreneurs get their accounting, controlling, reporting and financial planning right, I hope to keep their backs free of finance headaches, so that they can focus on building amazing products for their customers.
I’ve worked for 15 years in finance functions across all company sizes, from growth stage startups to stock-listed corporations. Basically I’ve seen everything, from fundraises to liquidations, exits and mergers from both, buy- and sell-side perspective, and I’m happy to share my experiences with all of our founders. I studied business in Germany and Sweden, and when not in front of a spreadsheet, I’m outdoors, in the mountains, trail running or hiking with my family.
Together with Alex and Lukas I’ve founded Wingman Ventures back in 2018 to give Swiss founders what they deserve: a really helpful first investor. I’m covering fundraising and investing at Wingman and I try to be of extra help to our founders when it comes to scaling their team and expanding their business internationally.
I’ve co-founded the travel tech company GetYourGuide and, as their COO and Board Member, I was responsible for growing the team from 5 students to 120 employees with offices in the US, Germany and Switzerland. I also worked at Google for a while, before deciding to dedicate all of my time to proving to the world that it is possible to build internationally leading companies out of a small country like Switzerland. I studied electrical engineering at ETH Zurich and if I’m not working with our founders, I’m outdoors running, kitesurfing, paragliding, skiing, rock climbing, surfing (sic: had to cut the list here). 😛
I launched Wingman Ventures together with Pascal and Lukas in 2018. I’m involved in fundraising and investing, and I also focus on helping our founders raise their next financing rounds after we teamed up with them. I’m motivated by my conviction that we can build strong and sustainable companies from Switzerland that significantly contribute towards solving some of our world’s biggest challenges!
I’m also running swiss-vc.ch, a community of VC investors with interest in the Swiss tech ecosystem. Prior to Wingman I worked for a few years at Creathor Ventures, teaming up with companies like HeyJobs, Allthings and Knip, and building a strong network in the European VC community. I’ve helped turn a salad bar into a chain of healthy fast food restaurants at Gärtnerei and learned the ropes of business in consulting at Roland Berger. I studied business at EU Business School Barcelona and Grenoble Graduate School of Business. Personally, I’m quite nerdy about gastronomy projects, wine (I’m a trained sommelier 🙂 ) and FC Bayern.
I head up our efforts to grow and manage the network of awesome individuals and initiatives that support Wingman Ventures in deal sourcing and supporting our founders. Leading our Wingman Campus Fund program I enable students of all backgrounds across Switzerland’s leading universities to learn about venture capital and to back their most promising peers in kicking off their entrepreneurial journeys. Having launched Superfounder, I’m also doing my bit to connect entrepreneurs across the country.
Before that I ran the Swiss edition of the US accelerator program MassChallenge, once tried founding my own tech startup in vain, and in a previous life realized that working in banking definitely wasn’t for me. I studied in Lausanne and St. Gallen, I am niche-nerdy about picking mushrooms, specialty coffee, arm wrestling and I love playing tennis with friends (yesss, something more mainstream! 🙂
Teaming up with Pascal and Alex, I’ve founded Wingman Ventures in 2018 and am responsible for fundraising and investing. I’m also heading our sales & marketing support for our founders, helping them exchange best practices and learn from our community. I’m determined to prove that investors can actually be of added value to founders and I’m confident we’re on the right track.
Before turning tables I co-founded EAT.ch, a food delivery platform with two student buddies of mine and turned it into one of the country’s largest ecommerce players, before we sold the company to stock-listed Just-Eat. Back in the day, in order to bootstrap, I worked at Accenture during the day, where I learnt how far behind the moon large corporations are with regards to state-of-the-art software, another motivation to back innovative tech solutions. I studied business at the University of St. Gallen and outside of the office, I love to play tennis or spend time with the family skiing in the Austrian alps.
I look after all things legal for the Wingman family of companies and for the fund – that’s everything from legal due diligence before we decide to team up with founders, to negotiating IP contracts, setting up clean legal structures and contract templates to preparing your data room for the next financing round. I’ve also open-sourced our founder-friendly term sheet, to make it easier for Swiss founders to get things right during their first financing rounds.
Prior to joining Wingman Ventures, I co-founded Leva, a Swiss fintech startup and ODK Media, a US-based media startup, and in between learnt the ABC of corporate law from incorporation to IPO at a large law firm in Zurich. I’ve studied Law and Economics at the University of St. Gallen, and when not saving the day legally speaking, I’m a passionate (bordering crazy) trail and ultra marathon runner, cyclist, climber and ski tourer.
I help the team in their daily tasks by implementing technological software to remove some burden from their shoulders. I also help Edouard with the Wingman Campus Fund’s backend operations to ensure the best experience for our student partners and portfolio startups.
I previously was active in the EPFL Entrepreneur Club to help creative students in their entrepreneurial projects and interned at ProcSim as an AI developer to optimize the scheduling of operational rooms where I discovered my passion for innovation. Outside of my weekly activities, I enjoy crossfit, sailing, being in the mountains and drinking intense Bialetti coffee.

Corintis breaks these barriers, by integrating micro-scale liquid cooling directly inside the silicon, adapted to the chip. This enables a 10x improvement in cooling performance and efficiency, to enable the future of computing in a sustainable manner.
